Sounds of Diversity

Petra Šuško (née Gavlasová) comes from Ostrava, after studying at the Janáček Conservatory (composition, piano) she graduated from the HAMU in Prague with a degree in composition (Milan Slavický) and music direction. Her compositions are mainly in the field of chamber and electroacoustic music. Her compositions are regularly performed at various shows and festivals, and she regularly creates new compositions for the Ostrava festival Musical Contemporary. She has created several projects within radio art (Radiocustica programme), collaborates with multimedia artists (sound design for Milena Dopitová's solo exhibitions – 2019 Prague, 2023 Brno). She is the author of the music for the feature documentary Kaprkód (2022, directed by Lucie Králová), which was awarded as the best Czech documentary (2022, Jihlava) and won several other awards at European film festivals.
