Sounds of Diversity

exceptional concert project

The concert project Sounds of Diversity was created out of the need to establish a creative connection between the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary. The desire to unite and renew artistic discussions between countries whose cultures were historically closely linked led to the idea of updating these relationships through an artistic project based on diversity. The result is the formation of a new ensemble consisting of fourteen musicians representing all four Visegrad countries and a program of new compositions, which will be performed in Ostrava, Katowice, Žilina, and Budapest.

The project is based on collaboration between artists from four V4 countries, and its goal is to bridge borders – both geographical and cultural. A quartet of composers from the four countries will present their new pieces, created specifically for this project. These compositions will be interconnected with a performative composition incorporating elements of improvisation that will flow throughout the evening. Equally important is the scenographic design, tailored to the concert halls where the performances will take place.

The concert mini-tour is a challenge to transcend borders, a call for collaboration, and an invitation to a shared experience filled with art, respect, and diversity.
